Communications and Public Affairs

Emily has also worked in a variety of public relations and communications positions in both her federal and non-profit career. She completed an assignment as the Public Information Officer on the George Washington Memorial Parkway in Washington, D.C. She has also served as the media point of contact for the Santa Claus Museum & Village, conducting interviews, drafting news releases, and handling inquiries for local, state, and national media outlets. In addition to her work with the media, Emily designed and produced wayside exhibits, brochures, interpretive guides, and more at sites throughout the National Park Service and in Santa Claus, Indiana. Emily is currently the Deputy Director of the Coalition to Protect America’s National Parks, a non-profit organization that serves as a strong advocate for the National Park System.
